Biographical Information[edit]

Kuang-Chung Lin has played for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team and in the CPBL.

Lin played for Taiwan in the 1989 Asian Championship and 1989 Intercontinental Cup. The Wei Chuan Dragons signed Lin in 1994, but he didn't play well, as he only had a .190/.226/.224 batting line with 5 stolen bases in his rookie year. Lin's batting average never reach .200 in four years with the Dragons, and he was released in the middle of the 1997 season. The Uni-President Lions then signed Lin and used him as a pinch-runner. The speedy infielder improved in 1998, hitting .226/.305/.401 with career-high 15 RBI in this season. However, when Lin recorded a 3-for-24 in the next year, the Lions released him, and he never came back to the league again.

Overall, Lin had hit .190/.269/.320 in six seasons in the CPBL. He set the CPBL record for most games played without grounding into any double play with 288 games.
