Biographical Information

Kuan-Yu Hu played in the CPBL.

Hu was drafted by the Fubon Guardians in the 4th round of the 2018 CPBL Draft. He hit .202/.248/.257 in the CPBL minor league in 2019, and he improved to .298/.353/.414 in 2020. Hu debuted against the Rakuten Monkeys on July 30, 2021, and he collected his first career hit against Yi-Cheng Wang. He ended up hitting .167/.211/.222 in 2021, and he went 3-for-15 in 2022. The TSG Hawks then selected him in the expansion draft, and he had a .304/.385/.348 batting line in the minor league in 16 games after he recovered from a shoulder injury.
