Biographical Information[edit]

Kleininger Teran has been a minor league infielder and coach.

Teran signed with the St. Louis Cardinals at age 16. He made his pro debut with the 2006 VSL Cardinals, hitting .245/.339/.313 while alternating primarily between 1B and 3B. Back with the same club in 2007, he improved to .267/.389/.342 with 47 walks and 15 doubles in 69 games, though he fielded just .835 at the hot corner. He tied for third in the Venezuelan Summer League in doubles and was second in walks (one behind Adenson Chourio). Coming to the US, he put up a .232/.377/.232 line in 26 games for the 2008 GCL Cardinals, fielding .889 at third.

In 2009, the Maracay native split time between the GCL Cardinals (.384/.430/.477, 16 R in 25 G) and the Johnson City Cardinals (.245/.348/.316 in 32 G). The next year, he hit .303/.346/.410 for Johnson City and fielded .986 at 1B. He was 7th in the Appalachian League in average. He was 0 for 5 with 3 walks and a run for the 2011 Quad Cities River Bandits then went into coaching for the Cards. His career batting line in the minors was .276/.369/.352 with 117 walks and 52 doubles in 256 games.

In 2018, he became a bullpen catcher for the major league Cardinals.
