Biographical Information[edit]
Kiyoshi Sato played for the Japanese national team.
After college, he played for the Nippon Life Insurance team in the industrial leagues. He was only 1 for 16 with a walk, run and two RBI in the 1978 Amateur World Series, backing up future NPB superstar Hiromitsu Ochiai at 1B and Mitsuo Hirasawa at DH. He was head coach of Waseda University from 1995-1998 and Josai International University starting in 2007.
