Biographical Information[edit]
Kirk Kelley has been a college coach. He won 595 games at Lyon College from 1993-2009 as the school's first baseball coach. From 2009-2011, he guided Oklahoma Wesleyan University then he was assistant at the University of Central Arkansas from 2011-2013. He then returned to Lyon to revive their football program, defunct for over 60 years. He left after the 2015 season.
In August 2016, he took over as head baseball coach of Eastern Oklahoma State College. After the 2018 season Kelley returned to Oklahoma Wesleyan as head coach for a second stint. He replaced Matt Parker who then replaced Kelley at Eastern Oklahoma. Parker had also replaced Kelley at OWU in 2012.
Kelley's son, Kraig Kelley, was drafted out of high school in the 47th round of the 2010 amateur draft, but headed on to college. He became an assistant coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2018.
