Biographical Information[edit]
King Bailey won the only major league game that he pitched, September 21, 1895, for the Cincinnati Reds and player-manager Buck Ewing. King is on the list of players who pitched a complete game in their first major league appearance. He was later a Southern Association umpire then coached at the University of the South (34-22 from 1905-1907) and Mercer College.
