Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Kevin Tapani was signed as a 2nd round pick in the 1986 amateur draft by the Oakland A's and scout Marty Miller. On July 20, 1998, Kevin had perhaps the most memorable day of his career. Throwing 7 innings for the Chicago Cubs against the Atlanta Braves, Kevin allowed just three runs and topped it all off by hitting a 3rd-inning grand slam off Denny Neagle.
