Kevin Miner has pitched in the Hoofdklasse.
Miner was 2-10 with a 4.36 ERA for the Amsterdam Pirates in 2006, at age 17. He tied Elton Koeiman for the league lead in losses and was 8th with 31 walks. He saw reduced action in 2007 (1-2, Sv, 9.00, 22 BB, 42 H, 6 K in 26 IP) and 2008 (2-1, 8.37) and did not appear in the 2008 Holland Series. He tossed one shutout inning in the 2007 European Junior Championship.
Moving to HCAW in 2009, the youngster again was used regularly as a starter, going 3-8 with a 2.87 ERA. He tied Adam Blackley for 7th in the circuit with 36 walks and was 14th in ERA (between Chris Mowday and Roger Kops). In 2010, he again had a decent ERA for a poor team (1-6, 3.18). He tied José Ventura for 5th in the league with 85 innings pitched, tied for second with 14 starts and was 6th in losses. He began 2011 4-4 with a 4.12 ERA and was picked for the 2011 Hoofdklasse All-Star Game. In that contest, he relieved Eddie Aucoin in the 6th with the North ahead, 7-3. He allowed one run in three hits in his inning before giving way to Nick Veltkamp in the 7th.
