Biographical Information

Catcher Kevin Burrell was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 1981 amateur draft with the 25th overall pick. He played more than a decade in the Red Sox, New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Kansas City Royals organizations before his career was ended by injuries. After his playing days, he was a scout for the Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. He signed Chris Beck, Gordon Beckham, Bryan Blough and Justin Greene.
