Biographical Information[edit]

After playing on the University of Minnesota baseball team that won the Big Ten Conference title in 1935, pitcher Kermit Aase played four years of minor league ball. He was 6-5 with a 4.05 ERA but walked 100 in 111 innings for the 1937 Selma Cloverleafs. In '38, he had a 2-5, 5.00 record for the Cordele Reds. He also spent part of that season with Selma. In 1939, he bounced between the Thomasville Orioles, Portsmouth Cubs and Montgomery Rebels. He ended up in 1940 with the Springfield Nationals. He then returned to college to earn a master's degree. After that, he moved to Brainerd, Minnesota, where he was a physical education teacher and coach for many years.
