Biographical Information[edit]
Kenta Aoshima has played in Nippon Pro Baseball and the Japanese national team.
Aoshima was on the Japanese national team in the 1983 Asian Championship. The Yakult Atoms signed him in 1984.[1] Aoshima became the first Yakult player to blast a homer run in his first career at-bat, but only hit .225/.295/.375 in his rookie year. He only had 8 at-bats in the next year. Aoshima played a career-high 58 games in 1987, but his batting line was terrible .147/.256/.235. After two years without any big club at-bats, he announced his retirement after the 1989 season.[2]
Overall, Aoshima had hit .183/.264/.293 in 3 seasons in NPB.
