Biographical Information[edit]
Kent Willis was drafted in the 12th round of the 1986 amateur draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched in the Reds' chain in 1986-1987 and the Montreal Expos' organization in 1987, making it only as high as A ball.
Willis became a pitching coach for the GCL Braves (1996, 1998), Danville Braves (1997), Macon Braves (1999-2002), Rome Braves (2003-2004), Mississippi Braves (2005-2006), and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (2010). Willis was the Atlanta Braves' minor league pitching coordinator in 2007-2009.
In 2023, he became the head baseball coach at Murrah High School in Jackson, MS.
