Biographical Information[edit]

Kenny Clark played four seasons in the minors.

The Atlanta Braves took him in the 7th round of the 1981 amateur draft, one pick before Dwight Taylor. He hit .197/.285/.238 for the GCL Braves and fielding .852 with 27 errors in 41 games. He moved up to the Anderson Braves in 1982 and batted .208/.284/.283 but stole 25 bases in 29 tries and legged out 8 triples. He tied Rick Plautz, Ken Kinnard and Benny Distefano for the South Atlantic League in triples. He fielded .916 at SS and his 48 errors tied Ed Lowery for the league lead.

In 1983, he was back with Anderson, producing at a .208/.324/.259 clip and fielded .904 while splitting short with Andres Thomas. He hit .209/.351/.258 with 49 walks in 78 games for Anderson in 1984, fielding .899 as the backup SS to Juan Fredymond.
