Personal Recollection[edit]

Kenny Anderson was a lefthanded pitcher for the Oshkosh Giants in 1953. I was his teammate that year. I was a righthanded pitcher. Kenny was from St. Paul, Minn. and signed with the Giants after his high school graduation that year. So he did not have a complete season in 1953. Yet I believe he finished with a record of 9 - 3. Kenny had good poise on the mound for a youngster just out of high school. He was a good pitcher. He later played for the Class C St. Cloud Rox in the Northern League, perhaps in 1955. I do not know where he played in 1954. I remember Kenny as an even-tempered teammate, who related well with everyone on our team.
