Kenneth W. Templeton


Ken Templeton is the brother of Garry Templeton; both were switch-hitters. He is also the uncle of Garry Templeton, Jr. A 23rd-round draft pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 1972 amateur draft, Ken hit .190/~.244/.345 with 37 strikeouts in 84 AB. He fielded only .875 in 28 outfield games for the Coos Bend-North Bay A's. In 1973, he was with the Lewiston Broncs and Tri-City Triplets, now as a pitcher. He went 0-3 with a 3.72 ERA. In 29 innings, he allowed 20 hits and struck out 25 but walked 38 and threw 13 wild pitches. Despite his limited number of games, he was 5th in the Northwest League in wild pitches.
