Kawshalya Priyamanthi Korale Gedara was on the first Sri Lankan women's national team. In the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she started at third base and hit cleanup in their opener against Indonesia. She singled off Made Ayu Oktaviani her first trip up and finished the event 3-for-9 with 4 steals in 4 tries, a run and a RBI. She fielded .545 between 3B and C, with 5 errors, allowed 18 steals in 18 tries. Only Darshani Hemakanthi Wickramanayake Naketh Gedara finished with more hits for the team. Only Ayesha Ejaz made more errors in the Cup's opening round, though. ^[1]
