Kai-Wei Lee has played for the Taiwanese national team at age-based levels and in the CPBL.
In the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup, he was 7 for 29 with 3 doubles and a triple. [1] Lee was 6 for 16 with 4 RBI in 2018 World University Championship[2], and went 9 for 34 with 4 doubles in 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup.[3] Li was selected by the Wei Chuan Dragons in the 3rd round of 2019 CPBL Draft. [4]In his rookie year in the CPBL, Li hit .273/.335/.351 with 22 stolen bases. He finished sixth in hits(120), ninth in runs(62), eighth in walks(35), and third in stolen bases(behind Li Lin and Ching-Kai Lin. Li improved in 2022, won his first CPBL Gold Glove (at second base) and batted .281/.355/.363 with 19 stolen bases. [5] Lee was still solid as he hit .288/.388/.381 with 12 steals in 2023, and he won his first Best Ten and his second Gold Glove. In the 2023 Taiwan Series, he hit .290/.290/.290 to help the Dragons beat the Rakuten Monkeys in 7 games.
