Biographical Information[edit]

Jeong-sik Ko played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 4 years.

Ko played for the South Korean national team in the 1986 Amateur World Series. The Lotte Giants selected him in the first round of the 1988 KBO draft, and he was 8-for-16 in 11 games in his first season. Ko was placed in the minors for the entire 1989 and 1991 seasons, and he went 8-for-17 in 1990. He hit .233/.281/.300 in 23 games in 1992, and his batting line was .241/.313/.276 in 13 games in 1993. Ko announced his retirement after the 1993 season, and he became the battery coach for the SK Wyverns in 2001, for the minor league team of the LG Twins in 2002, for the Doosan Bears in 2004 and for the Lotte Giants' minor league team from 2006 to 2007. He returned to SK as their minor league battery coach from 2008 to 2011, and he was the battery coach of the Bears in 2012. Ko was named Chung-Ang University coach in May 13, 2012.

Overall, Ko hit .246/.303/.279 with 30 hits in 4 seasons in the KBO.
