Julio Sandoval (Canana)
Julio Sandoval was considered one of the best catchers in early Nicaraguan baseball annals. He played for the Nicaraguan national team numerous times, winning Bronze in the 1935 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games and Silver in both the 1939 Amateur World Series and 1940 Amateur World Series. He also played in the 1941 Amateur World Series, 1944 Amateur World Series and 1945 Amateur World Series. He was still active for them in the 1950 Amateur World Series, 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1951 Pan American Games.
