Biographical Information[edit]
Julio Garcia did not play pro ball, but has become a minor league manager over most of the last 20 years.
Garcia played catcher and infield in college. He was a coach in the college ranks for Dallas Baptist College, Sam Houston State University, University of Texas-Arlington, and a junior college.
Garcia was a coach for the Augusta Pirates in 1991-1992, Welland Pirates from 1992 to 1994, Charleston RiverDogs in 1998, and the St. Petersburg Devil Rays in 1999. He was the Latin American field coordinator for the Chicago Cubs from 2005 to 2007. Garcia was a coach for the Peoria Chiefs in 2007 and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2011-2012.
