Biographical Information[edit]
The brother of Carlos Bernhardt and Jose Bernhardt, father of minor leaguer Cesar Bernhardt and uncle of Josephang Bernhardt, Juan Bernhardt hit the first home run in Seattle Mariners history. It took place at the Kingdome on April 10, 1977, against Frank Tanana of the California Angels [1]. He was on the Dominican national team that won the Silver Medal in the 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games. He managed the 1981-1982 Piratas de Campeche and 1992-1993 DSL Orioles/White Sox.
