Juan Mirabal played in the early years of the Cuban Serie Nacional. In the debut 1962 season, he laid down four sacrifice hits for the Azucareros to tie Andrés Telemaco and Jorge Santín for the league lead. He hit .229/.340/.281 in 7 seasons, fielding .964. He scored 94 runs and drove in 61 in 287 games, drawing 134 walks.
