Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Juan Lopez played in the minor leagues for the Milwaukee Brewers and Detroit Tigers from 1971 to 1984, spending the last 11 seasons at AAA. He then became a longtime coach in the minor and major leagues. He coached and managed in the Detroit Tigers system from 1985 to 1994 and joined the New York Mets system in 1996, where he remained until 2010. He moved to the Toronto Blue Jays system in 2011. His cousin Luis Isaac has been a long-time coach as well. His son Jack Lopez has played in the minors.
