Biographical Information[edit]

Juan Indriago has been a minor league player, a scout and a winter ball coach.

Indriago hit a meek .154/.286/.185 as a backup middle infielder for the 1989 GCL Royals in his pro debut. That winter, he was 1 for 5 with two runs for the Leones del Caracas; it would be his most extensive playing time in any Venezuelan League season. Juan had the lowest average of any Royals farmhand with 200+ plate appearances in 1990, which he split between the GCL Royals (.161/.314/.177 in 41 G) and the Baseball City Royals (5 for 37, 3B, 11 BB).

Indriago improved in 1991, hitting .300/.381/.323 as the main 2B for the GCL Royals. He played one game and scored a run but did not bat for Caracas that winter. In '92, he batted .238/.362/.254 for the Appleton Foxes, stealing only 7 bases while being caught 14 times. He again did not bat for the 1992-1993 Leones.

For his minor league career, Juan batted .218/.344/.240 with 98 walks and 77 runs in 657 plate appearances. He stole 28 bases but was caught 27 times. He never homered. He fielded .969 at 2B (131 G), .874 at 3B (43 G) and .930 at SS (21 G).

Indriago remained with the Kansas City Royals organization as a scout, signing Mario Lissón and Salvador Pérez. He also coached for the Leones.
