Biographical Information

Juan Diaz has played for the Bravos de Cidra in the Puerto Rican amateur league. He was one of the few non-pros to appear for the Puerto Rican national team in 2011. Splitting second base with Wilberto Ortiz, he was 2 for 11 with a run, RBI and error in the 2011 Baseball World Cup, both hits coming against a weak Greek national team. He was 1 for 5 with two runs backing up Ortiz in the 2011 Pan American Games, the hit coming in a near-upset of the Cuban national team.
