Biographical Information[edit]
Dr. Joseph Creamer was a New York Giants team doctor who offered $2,500 to umpire Bill Klem for a playoff victory against the Chicago Cubs in 1908. The game was the do-over necessitated by Merkle's Boner and was the one that would decided the pennant winner in the National League. It is not clear on whose behalf he was acting. Creamer was banned by the President of the National League, Harry Pulliam.
