Jose Trinidad is in his 5th minor league season in 2010.

Trinidad signed with the Houston Astros in February 2006. He was 2-2 with a save and a 2.51 ERA in 18 relief stints with the 2006 DSL Astros. In 2007, he went 4-4 with 8 saves and a 2.63 ERA for the same club. Jose made it stateside with the 2008 Greeneville Astros, going 3-2 with a 2.73 ERA and just 6 walks and no homers in 56 innings while being used as a starter. He had the lowest ERA in the Astros chain and was 6th in the Appalachian League in ERA.

In 2009, the Dominican right-hander was 0-3 with a save and a 4.71 ERA for the Lexington Legends. He opened 2010 well with Lexington (5-2, 2.57, 1.05 WHIP in 30 games) and moved up to the Lancaster Jethawks. On August 25, he was the last hurler in a five-pitcher, 10-inning no-hitter, working the tenth as Lancaster beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 3-1.
