Biographical Information[edit]
Jose Luis Garcia played for three seasons in the Mexican League as a left fielder but managed there for 20 years, winning one title for his main club, the Tigres de México.
Garcia debuted in 1953, hitting .163/.200/.229 in 48 games for the Rojos del Águila de Veracruz. He batted .252/.328/.404 as an outfielder for the 1954 Diablos Rojos del Mexico, then hit .257/.288/.407 for them a year later. Overall, he hit .225/.280/.349 in 150 Mexican League games.
He managed the Mexican national team in the 1990 Baseball World Cup in addition to his LMB stints over a four-decade period that are listed below.
