Biographical Information

Jose Amancio was 6-3 with a 2.13 ERA for the 1999 DSL Athletics West. In 2000, he went 3-3 with a 6.88 ERA for the AZL Athletics. He ended his playing career in 2001 by going 7-3 with a 3.71 ERA for the AZL A's. He was one win shy of the Arizona League lead.

Amancio became assistant pitching coach of the DSL Padres in 2007, then served as pitching coach from 2008-2011. He was pitching coach of the DSL Mariners in 2018-2019 and 2021-2022. Amancio then managed the DSL Mariners in 2023-2024.
