José Texidor peaked at AAA.

The Texas Rangers took Texidor in the 34th round of the 1989 amateur draft. He was 0 for 11 with two walks that summer for the GCL Rangers. He hit .232/.316/.315 the next year with the same club. In 1991, he was much better with the Butte Copper Kings (.377/.417/.508 in 37 G) and Port Charlotte Rangers (.282/.333/.359 in 13 G). Had he qualified (he was 49 plate appearances shy), he would have edged Andy Fairman for the Pioneer League batting title. Starting for the 1992 Gastonia Rangers, he hit .280/.322/.368 with 16 outfield assists but also 16 errors (BR Minors lists 16 errors, the 1993 Baseball Almanac lists 15). He stole just 6 bases in 19 tries. He led South Atlantic League outfielders in errors.

Texidor was presumably injured in 1993 as he played only 19 games for Port Charlotte (.319/.364/.375). With the team in 1994, he batted .257/.324/.355 with 3 steals and 11 times caught. He cut his error total to 6. Moving up to the Tulsa Drillers in 1995, he produced at a .269/.315/.370 clip with 33 doubles. He tied Todd Landry and Jacob Cruz for second in the Texas League in doubles, six behind Brian Banks. He only made two errors, fielding .993, in a remarkable turnaround from 1992.

José hit .265 for the 1995-1996 Ponce Lions to be named Puerto Rico Baseball League Rookie of the Year. Back with Tulsa for 1996, he hit .256/.295/.415 with a career-high 11 home runs. He split 1997 between the Duluth-Superior Dukes (.299/.337/.391 in 72 G) and Reynosa Broncos (.161/.161/.226 in 16 G). In 1998, he was just 11 for 61 with 3 doubles and 4 walks for the Newark Bears to end his decade-long career.

Texidor hit .269/.319/.369 in 703 minor league games, with 329 runs and 285 RBI.
