Biographical Information[edit]
José Quilo was 1 for 15 as the starting catcher for the Guatemalan national team in the 2013 Bolivarian Games. He went 1 for 5 with a RBI for the Guatemalan national team in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games. The 19-year-old backed up Fabián Vizcaino at catcher, having five putouts, one passed ball and one steal allowed in two tries; he also played one inning at LF. Quilo was one of only three Guatamelans to drive in a run in the Games that year; Dennis Hurtarte hit a solo homer and Manuel Hernández drove in four.
