Biographical Information[edit]
José Nápoles played in the minors and for the Cuban national team.
He hit .200 for Cuba when they won the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games. He split 1944 between the Portsmouth Cubs (.145/.253/.224 in 31 G) and Hagerstown Owls (.249/.305/.347 in 93 G). In '45, he played for Hagerstown and the York White Roses, with a combined average of .266 and slugging of .297. In 1946, he batted .238/.295/.280 for the West Palm Beach Indians. He wound down in 1947, appearing for the Palatka Azaleas (.225/?/.288), West Palm Beach and the Fort Lauderdale Braves (.197/?/.236 between the latter two).
