Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jonathan Cornelius played in the minor leagues from 2011 to 2015. He was taken by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 24th round of the 2011 amateur draft, one pick after pitcher David Rollins.

The hurler won 10 or more games once in his career, going 11-11 with a 4.16 ERA in 28 games (26 starts) between the Springfield Cardinals and Triple A Memphis Redbirds. In his only taste of Triple A, he was 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA in two starts. He began 2015 in the Cardinals system, but was released in May and latched on in the independent leagues.

He was a Mid-Season All-Star in 2011.

Overall, he was 21-30 with a 4.12 ERA in 103 games (65 starts) over five seasons.
