Biographical Information[edit]

Jon Berry pitched in the minor leagues from 1999 to 2003. He was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 9th round of the 1999 amateur draft and played in their system until 2002. Perhaps his best campaign was 2000, when he went 7-4 with a 3.15 ERA in 40 relief appearances for the San Bernardino Stampede, averaging nearly a strikeout per inning. He joined the Cincinnati Reds system in 2002 and remained there into 2003; he also played in the Pittsburgh Pirates system in 2003. He peaked at Double A.

Overall, he was 21-24 with a 5.00 ERA in 158 games (27 starts).
