Biographical Information[edit]
John Perkovich pitched one game in the majors, for the Chicago White Sox in 1950. It was Luke Appling's last season in the majors, Chico Carrasquel's first season in the majors, and Nellie Fox's first season with the White Sox.
Born in Chicago, IL, he had been signed by the White Sox after World War II. Perky had seven years in the minors, of which four were with the Memphis Chickasaws.
