Biographical Information[edit]
John Mayotte was a long-time college coach and summer collegiate manager.
Mayotte guided Eckerd College (1978-1990) and Troy State University (1991-2002). He took Troy State to the 1993 Division II World Series. He won 821 games as a college coach. He was the head coach for Steve Balboni, Joe Lefebvre, Jim Mecir, Tom Gregorio and Mike Rivera during their college careers.
Mayotte managed for 16 years in the summer leagues with three different teams, Chatham A's, Glens Falls Golden Eagles and Newark Pilots and won a total of 381 games.
He also served as head coach at Coxsackie-Athens High School and later served as an assistant coach at University of South Florida.
