Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher John Hasbrouck played in the Minnesota Twins system from 1970 to 1974, peaking at Double-A. He was taken by the club in the 3rd round of the 1970 amateur draft, one pick after infielder Rod Gilbreath and after future All-Stars Fred Lynn and Rick Reuschel.

In five seasons, he played in 398 games and had 1,228 at-bats. He hit just 10 home runs—or one every 123 at-bats—and stole a single base. Overall, he slashed .248/.350/.323. Perhaps his best performance was with the Auburn Twins in 1971, when he hit .301/.369/.432 with 5 home runs and 47 RBI in 63 games.
