John G. Hall

Biographical Information

John Hall is the chief chronicler of the Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri League. He was a batboy for a Carthage, MO team. He puts out a monthly newsletter, a weekly ezine/blog, and hosting of several KOM Player reunions. He kept over 2,000 index cards on the players in the league and what they happened to them after their time in the league. He found that some became actors, singers, Broadway stars, business tycoons, and elected officials. He has written two books on the KOM League, the, Majoring in the Minors and The KOM League Remembered, and a book on Mickey Mantle entitled Mickey Mantle: Before the Glory. A plaque honoring him has been placed at the Carthage baseball facility.
