Biographical Information

Oklahoma native John Hall spent seven active seasons in professional baseball from 1946 to 1952.

Hall also served three years in the United States Coast Guard from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.

Hall spent from April 21 to May 8, 1948, in the major leagues with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He appeared in three games, giving up four hits and three runs with a 6.23 ERA, with no decisions and this was it for Hall in the big leagues.

Hall spent the balance of his seven seasons in the minor leagues and had four double-digit winning seasons - 1946, 1947, 1951 and 1952. In all four of these years, he won more then he lost. His best record came in 1947, his second season, when he went 18-8 with a 2.80 ERA, appearing in 30 games and pitching 212 innings, for the Mobile Bears of the Southern Association.

Hall left baseball after the 1952 season with a minor league career 74-45 record, appearing in 192 games and pitching 1,038 innings.

After baseball, he worked as a civil service worker at Tinker Air Force Base for 30 years. Hall died on January 17, 1995 in Midwest City, OK, at the age of 71.
