John Carrion

Biographical Information[edit]

John Carrion has been a college coach.

Carrion was assistant coach at U.C. Davis in 2002. He was player-manager for Germany's Tübingen Hawks in the summer of 2002, going 14-14 as skipper; he hit .432/.527/.608 and fielded .921 as an infielder. He finished third in the southern Bundesliga-1 in average, tied for 8th in hits (31), was 7th in slugging (between Robert Gruber and Jens Heymer) and ranked 4th in OBP. Returning to the US, he coached for Granada High School, Dixon High School, Cal State, East Bay (2008-2010) and Yuba College (2012). For 2013, he became the first head coach of Holy Names University. He remained through 2015 then became assistant at Chico State for two years. He then moved to Menlo College as head coach from 2018 to 2022. He stepped to become Menlo's Assistant Athletic Director for Camps and Conference Services.
