Biographical Information[edit]
Right-handed pitcher John Butcher was a 13 game winner with the Minnesota Twins in 1984 after being obtained straight up for Gary Ward from the Texas Rangers in December 1983. His 13-11, 3.44 record in 225 innings proved a career-best. He regressed to 11-14, 4.98 in 1985 and was out of the bigs after the following season, split between Minnesota and Cleveland.
