Joep de Wit has pitched in the Hoofdklasse. In 2006, he was 1-1 with a save and a 3.68 ERA for HCAW. He allowed 24 hits and 14 runs in 17 2/3 innings for the club in 2007 and a .337 opponent average, 15 walks and 22 runs in 19 2/3 innings in 2008. In 2009, the 23-year-old southpaw improved to 1-0 with a save and a 5.34 ERA. He moved to the Almere Magpies in 2010. Despite an ERA again over 5, he was a late addition to the south roster for the 2010 Hoofdklasse All-Star Game. He took the loss in the league's first All-Star contest ever.
