Joe Urbon is a Seattle-based player agent for CAA Sports with clients including Jason Bay, Hiroki Kuroda and Grady Sizemore.

Urbon was picked by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 17th round of the 1989 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that year with the Batavia Clippers, hitting .192/~.215/.231. He spent 1990 with the Spartanburg Phillies (.258/.318/.356 in 63 G) and Clearwater Phillies (.257/.322/.319 in 60 G).

The outfielder was less effective in 1991 with Clearwater (17 for 81, 3 2B) and was let go. He signed with the independent Reno Silver Sox and batted .277, slugging .508, in 19 games, to wrap up his minor league career with a .243 average.
