Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Mowry played three seasons with the Boston Braves under manager Bill McKechnie.
He was at the University of Iowa from 1929-31, his time there overlapping with that of Mace Brown and Bill McWilliams. He then played for Minneapolis in 1931-33, coming to the majors in May 1933.
After his major league days he played in the minors through 1941. During his minor league career he hit over .350 several times. He managed in the minors from 1939-41.
