Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher/designated hitter Joe Mack began his professional career in 2021. He was taken by the Miami Marlins in Competitive Balance Round A of the 2021 amateur draft, 31st overall. His signing bonus was $2,500,000.

In 2021, he hit .132/.373/.208 with 1 home run, 2 RBI and 20 walks in 19 games for the FCL Marlins; he had just 7 hits, but 9 runs scored. In 2022, he hit .243/.383/.385 with 5 home runs, 15 RBI and 33 walks in 44 games between the FCL Marlins and Jupiter Hammerheads. He played for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League that fall, hitting .230/.347/.459 in 18 games. Going into 2023, he was ranked the #6 prospect in the Marlins system per MLB Pipeline. He began 2023 with the Beloit Sky Carp.
