Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Kohlman was the star pitcher for the 1937 Salisbury Indians who forfeited 21 wins to make their record 0-26, yet still won the pennant. Kohlman was 25-1 for Salisbury (individual records were unchanged) with 257 strikeouts in 227 innings. He pitched a no-hitter on September 2 against the Easton Browns to clinch the pennant, then threw another on September 18 in the deciding game 5 of the league championship series against the Centreville Cubs.
