Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Ferebee was a college coach.
Ferebee played baseball, football and basketball in college. He served in the Navy during World War II. He coached at Salisbury High School starting in 1947. He was at Pfeiffer University from 1958-1987, winning 677 games and ten conference titles. He also coached three North Carolina state American Legion winners. Ferebee also was a scout for 13 years. In college, he coached Monty Montgomery, Barry Moore, Dorn Taylor and Billy Wynne. Ferebee died March,18, 2020 at the age of 101. Source: North Carolina State Hall of Fame
