Biographical Information[edit]
Joe DeLucca was a coach at Babylon High School (1954-1957) and West Babylon High School (1958-1966). He remained at West Babylon as teacher and football coach from 1967-1983. He scouted for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies (1967-1969), Montréal Expos (1974), Baltimore Orioles (1977-1987) and Cleveland Indians (1988-1993) from 1960-1993. He signed John Habyan, Pete Harnisch, Charles Nagy, Manny Ramirez and Jeff Schaefer. He won the A.B. "Turk" Karam Award in 2005.
He served in the Korean War.
