Biographical Information[edit]

Joe Cuda pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals system from 2012 to 2014 and in independent ball for the latter part of 2014. He was taken by the Cardinals in the 27th round of the 2012 amateur draft, a few picks after pitcher Daniel Zamora. He was signed by scout Charlie Gonzalez.

He went 7-1 with a 4.15 ERA in 13 starts for the Batavia Muckdogs in 2012, then went 9-4 with a 3.31 ERA in 22 starts between two teams in 2013. After going 8-8 with a 5.70 mark in 19 starts for the Palm Beach Cardinals to begin 2014, he was released on August 1. The independent River City Rascals signed him to finish the year, and he went 2-2 with a 7.83 ERA in 5 starts there.

Overall, Cuda went 26-15 in 60 games (59 starts).
