Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Christian is a former minor league outfielder who played 17 seasons from 1949 to 1952 and 1954 to 1966. He hit as high as .346 with 27 home runs in a season. He paced the 1950 Mountain States League in homers (27), runs (127) and hits (173). He led the 1956 Big State League with 119 runs and 142 RBI. In 1961, his .336 average was second in the Southern Association, 13 points behind Don Saner.
He managed the Wisconsin Rapids Twins in 1964, leading them to a 50-71 record.
